When Microsoft introduced their next gen console the Xbox One, they made it pretty clear that they weren't going to implement backwards compatibility into the system, meaning that you will not be able to play XBOX 360 games on the XBOX ONE. That sucks for us gamers but if you look at it in a business way then its more profitable for them that way. You see a lot of lies on the internet but the latest one surrounding the XBOX ONE is that you can however play XBOX 360 games on the XBOX ONE by tricking the XBOX ONE owners to activate a development kit code which was discovered earlier.
Microsoft released a statement letting people know not to use the development code on their XBOX ONE because according to them there is no way of making the XBOX ONE read XBOX 360 discs.
This is the fake image that has been floating around the internet with "steps" on how to make your XBOX ONE console read XBOX 360 discs, but be aware that this steps can brake your XBOX's operating system if you have no development experience and no it won't really activate backwards compatibility.
Remember that this is fake and wont activate backwards compatibility, doing this will most likely brick your console and who wants to throw $499 out the window?
Larry Hryb himself also tweeted that performing the above steps will brick your console:
"To be clear there is no way to make your Xbox One backwards compatible & performing steps to attempt this could make your console inoperable"
Oh how sweet would of been if this was true huh?
